Ingredients

  • 1 gal apple cider
  • 1 orange medium, thinly sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp cloves whole

Equipment

  • 1 6-quart slow cooker

Method

  1. Pour the apple cider into a 6-quart slow cooker and add the orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and whole cloves.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours, until steaming and fragrant.
  3. Strain out the orange slices and spices.
  4. Serve hot or keep warm in the slow cooker.

Notes

For a stronger spice flavor, let the cider steep briefly before straining. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 4 days; freezer-friendly for up to 3 months. Use unsweetened apple cider for a less-sweet version.
