Ingredients

  • 3 avocados medium, ripe
  • 2 tbsp lime juice fresh
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.25 cup red onion finely diced
  • 2 tbsp cilantro chopped, fresh

Method

  1. Halve the avocados.
  2. Pit the avocados and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
  3. Add the lime juice and salt.
  4. Mash with a fork until mostly smooth with some small chunks.
  5. Fold in the red onion and cilantro until evenly combined.

Notes

For the freshest flavor, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to help limit browning. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 2 days; freezing is not recommended. For a lower-sodium version, reduce the kosher salt to taste.
