Ingredients

  • 2 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 0.125 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 can (14.5 oz) cut green beans drained
  • 1.33 cup French fried onions divided

Equipment

  • 1 9x13-inch baking dish

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Fold in the green beans and 2/3 cup of the French fried onions.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, until the casserole is hot and bubbling around the edges.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 2/3 cup French fried onions over the top.
  7. Bake for 5 minutes, until the onions are golden brown.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Drain the green beans well to keep the casserole from becoming watery. Refrigerate leftovers for 3–4 days; freezing is not recommended because it can affect the texture. For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free cream of mushroom soup and milk.
