Ingredients

  • 8 cups water
  • 1 lb green beans fresh, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 4 bacon slices

Equipment

  • 1 6-quart air fryer

Method

  1. Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 390°F for 3 minutes.
  2. Bring the water to a boil in a large saucepan.
  3. Add the green beans and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Drain the beans and let cool until easy to handle.
  5. Pat the beans thoroughly dry.
  6. Toss the beans with the olive oil, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  7. Divide the beans into 4 bundles.
  8. Wrap each bundle with a slice of bacon, securing the bacon with a wooden toothpick.
  9. Arrange the bundles seam-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  10. Cook at 390°F for 14–18 minutes, turning halfway through, until the bacon is crisp and the beans are tender.

Notes

Pat the beans thoroughly dry so the bacon can crisp. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended. Turkey bacon can be used as a swap.
